Love Island fans claim to have already figured out who will be the first Islander to get the boot – days before the reality dating competition is due to launch

Some Love Island fans believe they have identified the first Islander to be eliminated, even before the reality dating show kicks off.

Love Island is set to return on June 3, and ITV has unveiled the full lineup for the new season, which will be broadcast simultaneously on ITV1, ITV2, and ITVX for the first time.

Fans have already started speculating about the new series, with many predicting that the first to be dumped will be Ronnie Vint, a close friend of Olivia Attwood and Bradley Dack. Ronnie, 27, served as the best man at their June 2023 wedding held at a five-star hotel in Knightsbridge.

Love Island introduced the semi-professional footballer on Instagram, captioning his photo: “Ronnie is sidelining his football career to focus on a new goal: score his future wife ⚽️ #LoveIsland.” Some fans were quick to comment with predictions like, “It’s giving first boot, I’m so sorry,” “He will be the first one to be dumped. Mark my words,” and “He’s definitely the one leaving first.”

Other comments included, “I would want him to go first, but I have a sneaky feeling that Munveer’s going first,” and “Pro footballers don’t put a career on hold for Love Island. So football is not his profession. So don’t disrespect football. Good luck to him tho.”

Showing her support, Bradley’s sister Beth Dack commented, “Yessssss Ron,” along with a fire emoji.

Before joining the show, Ronnie shared what he was looking for in a partner. He said, “I want someone that’s family-oriented, caring, and career-minded. Looks wise, I like blondes with nice boobs but am partial to a brunette too.”

Discussing his “claim to fame,” Ronnie mentioned, “Bradley Dack is my best friend and he and Olivia are a big part of my life. I call Olivia my big little sister, she always looks out for me.” Olivia, 30, had a dramatic stint on the third season of Love Island in 2017 and is now a documentary maker.

Ronnie has reportedly already made an impression among Olivia’s celebrity friends. Insiders shared that he is finally looking to settle down after years of playing the field.

They revealed, “Ronnie is the latest signing for Love Island this year and he can’t wait to see who else will be joining him. As a ladies’ man, he has dated a string of reality stars, and now he’s excited to finally become a contestant himself after hearing so much about it from Olivia. Of course, Olivia and Bradley are close friends with Ronnie and will be supporting him on the show all the way.”

Ronnie himself explained, “I’ve had two serious relationships in the past but more recently have enjoyed being single and doing my own thing as I’ve been focused on my football career. I’ve got to the age where I want to find the right person I can build a life with.”

Hailing from southeast London, Ronnie spent 10 years with Dartford, progressing from youth to senior level. After two loan spells with Dulwich Hamlet, he joined them permanently in January 2022. In June 2023, non-league club Lewes Community Football Club announced that Ronnie had joined their team.

Manager Tony Russell said at the time, “Ronnie is a player I watched in step 1 for Dartford, and I thought he would go on to play professionally, but for whatever reason, it didn’t work out for him. Ronnie fits the mould of a player I like working with. Maybe he has lost his way in the game, and I offer players like him the chance to come in and enjoy his football; our chats have gone really well, and I plan to work with him before we go back in for pre-season. I know if I get Ronnie Vint fit and enjoying his football, I know I will have one of the best in our league. People forget he is still only 26, so he has not even hit his peak yet.”

Ronnie’s Instagram bio now reads, “I’m off to find love in the @loveisland villa! ❤️”
