Popular DJ and record producer Jamie Roy has tragically died at the age of 33.
The Scottish musician had a big fan base in Ibiza, playing in all of the biggest clubs there. And his tracks were often played on Radio 1.
The heartbreaking news was announced in a Facebook post.
The post read:
‘Jamie passed away yesterday. Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both within the music industry and beyond that. We are all absolutely heartbroken.’
Roy’s record label, Defected Records, also released a statement.
They said:
‘We are all devastated to hear about the passing of Jamie this morning.
‘A great producer, DJ, and friend to so many within our industry. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. Shine bright, Jamie.
His cause of death is not currently known.
