‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ presenters Ant and Dec made an ‘announcement’ following complaints from fans.
The pair addressed a repeated complaint during the first few minutes of the live show before another Bushtucker Trial could take place.
Referencing a repeated gag the pair keep making about contestant Boy George and his hit 1983 song Karma Chameleon, fans of the show have had enough.
One person took to Twitter, writing:
“The karma chameleon joke is starting to get old already! Stop it now [two cry laughing emojis],
While another wrote:
“When will Ant and Dec stop doing Karma Chameleon jokes! Getting a bit tired now boys.”
Ant addressed the complaints, saying:
“Right time for a quick announcement from me and Dec.”
“You might have noticed that we’ve done a lot of dancing to Karma Chameleon this week.
“I’ll be honest, there’s been a few times we’ve just shoehorned it in,”
Dec then said:
“Yeah we have,”…”But not anymore.”
“We’ve come up with a new policy,” …”that from now on we will only play the song if there’s a very obvious justification for it.”
“Thank you for listening, that is the end of the announcement,”
Turning to Ant, Dec then asked what was coming up in the show to which Ant said:
“A VT that heavily features Boy George.”
The pair then said:
“Uh oh,”
“Don’t worry, he’s talking about food, specifically Kimchi,”
“Phew,”
Then receiving a so-called message in their ear from show producers, the pair revealed the VT was ‘an in-depth discussion about Culture Club, and specifically the hit single Karma Chameleon’.
The studio then erupted in the 80s hit…
