Breaking News! The new Love Island start date has just been confirmed and it is sooner than we thought.
The winter series of the show, which is set in South Africa and will be hosted by Maya Jama, is due to return to our screes on Monday 16 January.
A source told The Sun:
“This year’s contestants will be flown out to South Africa earlier in January and will start filming for the first episode the day before.
“The grand finale will take place eight weeks later on March 13.”
The source also shared with the publication that the South African villa is ‘absolutely amazing’, that our presenter is ‘raring to go’ and that this year’s contestants are ‘looking to be the sexiest ever.’
Ekin-Su and Davide famously won the summer series this year and fans agreed that the selection of islanders was “one of the best yet”.
Here’s hoping that the winter contestants are just as great!
