Amazon Clarifies Future of Clarkson’s Farm as Fans Worry Show will Get Cancelled

Amazon has clarified the future of Clarkson’s Farm, the reality series featuring former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, amid concerns that it would be cancelled following controversial comments he made about Meghan Markle.

Fans of the series will be pleased to know that the second series of Clarkson’s Farm will air on February 10th, and a third season will also be going ahead as planned.

Clarkson’s comments, which were made in a column for The Sun, sparked widespread criticism and disgust, with many calling for an apology.

The former Top Gear presenter was forced to apologise for his remarks, which referenced the infamous ‘shame’ scene from Game of Thrones and included statements such as “I hate her” and “I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.”

Dozens of MPs even demanded that he apologise for the blatant example of misogyny, and some also called on Amazon to drop him.

However, Amazon has confirmed that the series will continue as planned, and that they have no plans to cancel it.

Clarkson issued a personal apology to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for his hurtful comments in a statement posted on Instagram.

He acknowledged that his apology may not be enough for those who had called for it, but expressed his remorse, saying “I really am sorry” and “This is me putting my hands up. It’s a mea culpa with bells on.”

He also explained that he had been in a hurry when he wrote the column and did not read it over before it was published.

It is clear that Amazon is standing by its decision to continue airing the series, despite the backlash against Clarkson’s comments.

The streaming site likely believes that the controversy will eventually die down and that the show will continue to be popular with audiences. It remains to be seen whether or not this will be the case, but for now, fans of Clarkson’s Farm can look forward to its return on February 10th.
