The latest episode of Love Island saw Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown and Tom Clare call time on their romance after a heated exchange.
During a game of truth or dare, Tom proclaimed that Olivia Hawkins had the best face in the villa, while Zara had the best body.
This declaration caused Zara to burst into tears and confront Tom about his choices.
When asked by Lana Jenkins if she was okay, Zara replied, “No, I just can’t be a***d. All the girls picked Tom. Liv picked Tom like twice. He picked Liv’s face. I’m not just some f**g booty to you.”
Zara went on to express her frustration with Tom’s behaviour, saying “He’s giving me mad ick. If you don’t like me, move from me.”
‘One minute he’s saying he’s all for me then he wants to get to know other people? Why is he saying he likes her face?’
Tom, on the other hand, had a different perspective on their relationship.
He admitted in the Beach Hut, “The initial attraction is there with me and Zara but, will it last? I don’t want drama, I want someone to come home to and they’re lifting me up and boosting me, it’s probably been a bit of a wake-up call for me tonight, I needed it.”
After Zara and Tom had a chance to talk things out, they agreed that it would be best to remain just friends, instead of forcing a romantic relationship.
Tom’s behaviour during the episode also put his relationship with Ellie Spence in jeopardy.
Tom pulled Ellie for a private chat and assured her that he wanted to get to know her, saying, “I ain’t exclusive, do you know what I mean.” Ellie was taken aback by Tom’s openness and referenced Zara, saying, “Zara makes out like you are solid.”
Tom replied ‘I’m only in here once and you’re fit. I want to get to know you 100 per cent.’
Alright, Romeo…
