Katie Price has recently spoken out about the ‘real reason’ she was not invited to the Barbie premiere, while also taking a swipe at Love Island stars and sharing details about her recent nose job.
The star-studded Barbie premiere, which took place at Cineworld in Leicester Square on July 12, saw A-listers like Margot Robbie, Emma Mackey, and Dua Lipa grace the pink carpet. However, Katie Price, the former glamour model, did not receive an invite, leaving her feeling disappointed.
On her Katie Price podcast, she expressed her frustration, stating that she is not conceited, but she believes she often overshadows other attendees at red carpet events, attracting more press attention. According to Katie, film premieres are often about gaining media coverage, and she feels her glamour and love for the Barbie theme would have made her a perfect fit for the event.
“I’m really disappointed I haven’t gone to the Barbie movie with you tonight. I didn’t get an invite, everyone.
“I’m not big headed, but what does annoy me is people go to film premieres half the time because they want to be pictured on the red carpet, that’s why they make an effort with what they wear.
“Every time I’ve been on the red carpet, I don’t know why, but I always overshadow whoever is in it. I get the most press.
“The whole point of doing film premieres is surely for press. Everyone knows I was glam and I love the Barbie.
“I would’ve been a perfect person to go there because I would’ve been so over the top with the Barbie.
“It’s like, the snobbery that goes on in this industry is just ridiculous.
“I would’ve got a Barbie mask to put on to cover the nose. Anyway, it don’t matter.
“I’ll look at the pictures and look how s**t people look.”
Beyond the Barbie premiere, Katie opened up about her recent nose job, revealing that she underwent the procedure in Belgium. She had opted for the surgery because a previous ‘lip lift’ procedure in Turkey left her dissatisfied with a scar that affected her nose’s appearance. During her nose job, she had her nose broken, a first for her, in an attempt to improve its appearance.
However, her recovery did not go smoothly, as she accidentally choked on gauze that had slipped into her throat. She managed to pull it out herself, causing a moment of panic about potential damage to her new nose. Despite the challenges during her recovery, Katie is pleased with the results, as she can now breathe better, taste food, and sleep without discomfort.
The Love Island stars also received a swipe from Katie, who believes they often attend premieres to gain media attention.
While she may not have been present at the Barbie premiere, Katie remains unapologetically candid about her experiences and decisions, as evident from her discussions about her nose job on her podcast.
