Friend of I’m a Celebrity’s Nella Rose Reveals Reason She left Camp – and Slams Trolls

Nella Rose’s abrupt departure from “I’m a Celebrity” raised eyebrows and sparked speculation, prompting a friend to set the record straight and address the critics. Contrary to accusations that Nella strategically avoided a bushtucker trial, her friend revealed she experienced a “minor medical emergency” just before the show’s broadcast.

The anticipated Trial In Too Deep, an underwater challenge, had viewers voting for participants. However, when hosts Ant and Dec went live to the camp, they announced Nella’s absence, citing her visit to the medical team and exemption from the trial due to health reasons. Some viewers questioned the timing, wondering if Nella had been chosen for the trial before the announcement or if her medical examination happened after the vote.

Dec Donnelly clarified, “Now unfortunately, Nella is being seen by the medic, so she’ll be back later, but it means she’s now exempt from this trial. So let’s go in there and see who will be doing it.” Subsequently, Nick Pickard and Nigel Farage were chosen for the trial. Speculation arose, with fans suggesting Nella might have feigned illness.

Responding to the allegations, a friend of Nella emphasised the injustice and falsehood of the claims. They revealed the true reason behind Nella’s removal, stating, “It was a minor medical emergency, and it happened just before the show. They had to take her off to get looked at and couldn’t get her back in time for the trial reveal.”

In the episode leading up to the incident, Nella displayed no signs of illness. Despite the speculations, the friend asserted that the idea of her faking illness or avoiding the trial was both unfair and untrue. Nella eventually rejoined her fellow contestants, and ITV confirmed her return by stating, “Nella has since rejoined camp.”

Additionally, Nella Rose found herself at the center of controversy when a heated argument with Fred Sirieix garnered nearly 900 complaints to Ofcom. The clash arose after Sirieix remarked on the age difference, causing Rose to confront him about mentioning her deceased parents. Despite Sirieix’s apology, Rose expressed her reluctance to be friends with him, citing discomfort with the comments made.

Indiyah Polack, a friend of Rose and a Love Island star, appeared on ITV’s Lorraine, noting that she didn’t believe Sirieix had malicious intent but acknowledged the heightened emotions in the camp due to the challenging conditions. Rose’s stance on not forcing connections with people she dislikes was emphasised, showing her commitment to maintaining a positive environment for herself.
