Love Island’s Georgia Harrison breaks silence on split from Anton

Georgia Harrison, known for her appearance on Love Island, has spoken out for the first time about her unexpected breakup with Anton Danyluk, subtly shading her ex.

The Sun reported that the couple, both 29, who finished fifth on this year’s All Stars series, parted ways last month. Their split became public knowledge just a week after a heated exchange at the BAFTAs, where Anton walked the red carpet with his new love interest, model Hannah Olivia Kenyon.

In an interview with The Sun, Georgia revealed she has no interest in dating after her split with Anton and has sworn off dating shows for good. “I’m just happy in the moment, I’ve gone back to my campaigning which means a lot to me,” she said. “I’ve been in Parliament and it was such a long day – from 8am to 6pm. I got back from Ibiza a few days before that, so I’ve been a busy girl.”

Georgia expressed her contentment with her current life, stating, “I’m not manifesting a man… I clearly don’t do dating very well, I’ve done enough dating shows and they never seem to work out for me. I’m at a stage in my life where I literally just want to concentrate on what does work well for me.”

Focusing on her advocacy work, Georgia plans to start giving talks in schools. She emphasised her independence, saying, “I am genuinely at the point where I don’t need a man to be happy – maybe that isn’t my purpose in life.”

While she is open to returning to television, Georgia has ruled out future participation in dating shows. “I’ll always be a face on TV, no more dating shows but I’d like to do documentaries. I’m good at competition stuff…dating, I’m absolutely terrible and there’s no point continuing to try.”

The split turned dramatic when Georgia and Anton encountered each other at the TV BAFTAs after party. Anton told The Sun, “I saw Georgia and wanted to be civil. I said ‘hi’ and she replied ‘f*ck off’. I’ve been nothing but good to her. I don’t understand.”

Earlier, Georgia was overheard joking with friends, “Urgh, men. F*** men. Every boyfriend is worse than the last.”

Their relationship, which began on All Stars, ended after a short-lived romance, further complicated by criticism from Anton’s mother, who was skeptical of their connection on the ITV2 show. Georgia narrowly avoided an awkward encounter with Anton’s mother, known for her infamous comments on the show, as Anton brought model Hannah Olivia Kenyon as his date to the BAFTAs instead.

Post-breakup, Georgia has been focusing on her well-being, spending time at a juice retreat, engaging in hiking, fasting, and meditation. When asked about her newfound ‘zen’ attitude, Anton remarked, “Georgia’s far from [zen].”

At the BAFTAs, the ex-couple kept their distance, with Georgia mingling with Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Eyal Booker, and TOWIE’s Pete Wicks. Anton, on the other hand, spent the evening with Hannah Olivia Kenyon, with insiders noting that while they’re enjoying their time together, they aren’t exclusive yet.

Despite finishing fifth on the ITV2 dating series in January, Georgia and Anton’s relationship was marred by accusations of lacking chemistry and faking their romance.
