‘The rudest celebrity I’ve ever met!’ rages controversial MAFS star as they spark feud with Love Island legend

A controversial MAFS star has taken to Instagram to call out the rudest people he’s encountered in reality TV in a scorching new video.

Thomas Hartley, who gained fame on Married At First Sight in 2022, used social media to share his most disappointing experiences with so-called ‘famous’ faces.

He told his followers: “This is a video I said I was going to do for a while and this is celebrity encounters I’ve had where the person has either been really rude, is really nonchalant or otherwise.”

“Let me be absolutely clear, I’m not going to name the names of everyone in this list. I’ll name the shows they were on sometimes or otherwise. I like to leave a little bit to the imagination and I’m sure you can guess most of the time.”

Thomas criticised the overuse of the word “celebrity,” arguing it should be reserved for true A-listers like Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie, and Robert DeNiro. He continued, “These people are not celebrities by my belief, no one on reality TV shows, they’re not celebrities, they’re just in the public eye.”

First on Thomas’s list was an X Factor legend he photographed with in his late teens, back when he was more enamoured with celebrity culture. He described the encounter as “f***ing rude,” but in the comments, he clarified it wasn’t N-Dubz star and former show judge Tulisa after a fan suggested her.

Four Made In Chelsea stars particularly irked Thomas with their inflated opinions and judgmental vibes. He made it clear these were not big names like Sam Thompson or Jamie Laing.

A Love Islander also faced Thomas’s criticism for disrespecting him at a showbiz party. He fumed: “This lady was from Love Island, so f***ing rude. I said ‘hello’, she didn’t even acknowledge me, completely walked past and ignored me and is really a very dull person… on it 187 years ago, you don’t go ‘oh I remember them.'” He ruled out names suggested by fans, stating it wasn’t Ekin-Su Culculoglu or Amber Gill.

An ITV Daytime national treasure was next in line. He said, “They were absolutely vile, really rude, wouldn’t have a conversation.” Fans were relieved to learn it wasn’t Dermot O’Leary, Phillip Schofield, Rylan Clark, or Ben Shephard.

He did, however, give special mentions to the “lovely” casts of Geordie Shore and TOWIE.

Thomas’s relationship with his MAFS co-star Adrian Sanderson was short-lived and ended messily. Last year, he hit back at his ex after being labeled “unkind” and a “bully.” Thomas told followers, “I’ve never been anything but authentic.”

In October, the former mental health worker avoided jail after pleading guilty to a public order offense following an altercation in London. The incident, which took place at Euston rail station last February, saw Thomas accused of harassing and using threatening language towards a woman. Thomas, 32, was arrested and pleaded guilty in Liverpool Knowsley and St Helen’s Magistrates’ Court on September 21.
