Britain’s Got Talent fans say final ‘ruined’ as they all make the same complaint

Fans of Britain’s Got Talent expressed frustration during the series final on Sunday, June 2, stating that the show was “ruined” by the passionate reactions of the live audience. Throughout the highly anticipated final, viewers voiced complaints about the overpowering crowd noise, mainly consisting of boos, which frequently interrupted former Strictly star Bruno Tonioli’s commentary during the initial acts.

Many viewers took to social media to vent their annoyance, with one tweeting: “The Bruno chants may ruin #BGT 2024 it’s so annoying,” while another added: “Can someone turn down the audience? The noise each time Bruno speaks is deafening.” A third viewer echoed the sentiment, stating: “I’m bored of these boos every time Bruno talks, it’s ruining the programme.”

Other viewers urged ITV’s sound crew to intervene, with one person requesting: “Audience, too loud. Sound engineer, sort the mix please,” and another saying: “Can they not turn down that audience noise….”.

This isn’t the first instance of audience noise causing irritation for viewers at home, as well as for judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon. During Matteo’s shadow puppet act on May 28, Alesha’s feedback was met with such loud boos that she had to pause and wait for them to subside before continuing.

Even presenters Ant and Dec had to wait for the noise to die down before turning to head judge Simon for his comments. Taking to social media, fans swiftly shared their frustration, with one writing: “If you think the shadow puppet guy isn’t genius, you can f*** off into space. #BGT.”

Another point of discussion during Sunday’s final was the judges’ outfit choices, particularly Amanda Holden’s attention-grabbing metallic gown. Holden dazzled in her shimmering metallic silver strapless gown, featuring a plunging sweetheart neckline, statement bodice, and sheer skirt.

After a week of watching acts compete for a spot in the final, viewers were eager to see the 10 finalists, which included musical impressionist Mike Woodhams, Innocent Masuku, SSaulabi Performance Troupe, magician Jack Rhodes, dancers Haribow, and magician Trixy.

The BGT winner, crowned by hosts Ant and Dec, receives an impressive £250,000 prize pot and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance on November 22nd at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
