Ronnie Vint, a contestant on Love Island, shared an amusing anecdote about his father’s concerns before his villa journey.
Preparing to seek romance on the ITV dating show, the 27-year-old footballer from Lewes Football Club received some unique advice from his dad. Instead of fretting about the potential steamy scenes, Ronnie’s father had a more practical query. “They’ve been really supportive but my dad don’t know too much about the show – all he’s asked is ‘do they give you a towel?’ Obviously when he goes on holiday, all he worries about is putting a towel down first so he’s got his chair secured,” he chuckled.
Responding to age-related rumours, Ronnie dismissed claims of being older than 27. “Whatever really…I always say I always look a bit older. I’ve always been told I look older, do I look old? And I’ve had some mad shouts before. I might have to get rid of this long line on my forehead and hopefully I’ll look a bit younger,” he quipped. Expressing excitement about finding love, he emphasised his readiness for a serious relationship: “I’m just really excited to find my future wifey and to just enjoy the experience. I’m 27 now, I’ve matured for my age and I know what I want now and hopefully try and find The One now.”
Ronnie also revealed insights from his friend Olivia Attwood, a former Love Island contestant. While he didn’t discuss his previous flings, he appreciated Olivia’s advice on authenticity. “I didn’t have that chat with her about that but she has given me tips in the way of like being myself as I have always got on with anyone I’ve ever met and she said that will be really good,” he shared. Referring to his interactions with Olivia’s circle, Ronnie maintained discretion out of respect for their relationships: “I have got with some of Olivia’s mates but they’re in relationships now and I think it would be disrespectful to talk about that. Obviously, where she’s quite well known and that and her friends I have met… it’s always been a nice cheat code… But other than that it’s just been one of those things for me.”
