Britain’s Got Talent star Emma Jones has tragically passed away at the age of 32.

The talented vocalist gained recognition during the 2015 season of the popular talent show with her rendition of ‘Ave Maria’ by Andrea Bocelli. Her audition, which has garnered nearly five million views on YouTube, earned her a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams.

Comedian Walliams was particularly impressed, stating: “You should be confident Emma – very few of us could ever sing like that.” Actress Holden described Jones’ performance as “one of the most beautiful auditions” they had seen all day.

After successfully making it through her audition, Jones revealed a personal struggle, sharing: “I don’t like it as such, well, I hate it actually.” Reflecting on her nerves during the audition, she added: “I couldn’t believe I got a standing ovation. [It] was the best day in my whole, entire life.”

Jones progressed to the semi-finals, where she delivered another captivating performance, singing ‘Pie Jesu’ by Sarah Brightman accompanied by a quartet playing guitars.

Tragically, Jones passed away on Valentine’s Day after a battle with multiple organ cancer, as announced by her loved ones on her official Facebook page. Fans and well-wishers flooded the comments section with condolences and tributes, remembering her as a “pure and gentle soul” with an “incredibly talented” voice.

At a memorial service held at Allonby’s Christ Church on May 1, Jones’ former partner John Hastings shared fond memories of her Britain’s Got Talent audition, expressing pride in her accomplishments and the impact she had on viewers.

While Jones may no longer be with us, her performances remain cherished memories for her family, friends, and fans. Our deepest condolences go out to Jones’ loved ones during this difficult time.
