ITV Love Island star’s confession leaves viewers horrified as villa exit ‘sealed’

An unexpected revelation from Love Island contestant Patsy has left viewers stunned and speculating about her future on the show.

During a crucial moment when the Islanders were getting to know each other, Patsy dropped a bombshell: at 29 years old, she still shares a bed with her mother. This confession sent shockwaves across social media, with many fans convinced that she may have sabotaged her own chances of finding love on the show.

Reactions poured in on social media, with one viewer expressing disbelief: “She’s talking about she shares a bed with her mum on a reality tv show to find love????? goodbye to her chances with whoever #loveIsland.” Another echoed similar sentiments, writing, “29 and shares a bed with….. HER MUM #LoveIsland.”

Some fans questioned the wisdom of such a revelation on national television, with one tweet stating, “You can never get me to admit on t.v that I share a bed with my mom at 29. #loveIsland.” Another tweet pointed out the potential repercussions: “Admitting that you sleep in your mums bed at 29 and expecting someone to take you seriously #LoveIsland.”

Criticism also emerged regarding the perceived double standard, as one viewer noted, “Sharing a bed with ur mum at 29 is kinda crazy, should have kept that to urself,” while another expressed discomfort with the inconsistency, stating, “Sorry but if a guy said he shares a bed with a parent, that would be the biggest ick ever! Get this woman off the show #loveIsland.”

Before entering the villa, Patsy, who has Erb’s Palsy, had discussed how the producers had accommodated her disability. She highlighted her journey with the condition, sharing, “I struggle to put my hair up and stuff. But as I’ve got to 29, I’ve found tips and tricks to get around pretty much everything. I can’t do the handstand. But when in life do we do handstand? It doesn’t affect how they view me as a love interest.”

She also talked about the adjustments made in the villa, mentioning, “There are things that will be interesting I guess, for other people to see on camera that I can’t do. I struggle to put my hair up and stuff. But I always just kind of find something to rest my arm on, or I often – you’ll probably see me in there – I’m using my friend’s shoulder to put my arm on, so I can lift it up and do my hair.”
