Love Island star Harriett Blackmore appears “completely different” in a recently resurfaced video featuring her close friend Saffron Barker. Harriett, who is participating in this year’s Love Island series, seems to have undergone a significant transformation in preparation for her appearance on the reality TV show.
The 24-year-old dancer is best friends with 23-year-old Saffron Barker of Strictly Come Dancing fame and has previously appeared on Saffron’s YouTube channel. Keen-eyed Love Island fans discovered an old video of the duo, sharing a snippet on TikTok, where many expressed their astonishment at Harriett’s notably different look.
In the full video, which Saffron posted on YouTube five years ago, Saffron challenges herself to live in her car for 24 hours, with Harriett joining her for a portion of the time. The two friends sat in the back of the car, where Saffron had arranged her sleeping area. They ordered pizza and chatted with the camera as they settled in for the evening.
Fans of Love Island were amazed by Harriett’s transformation, noting how different she looked at about 19 years old. Many took to TikTok to share their surprise. “No way this is the same girl,” one person commented, while another added, “Nah, that’s actually a different person.” A third person wrote, “Now I remember where I’d seen her,” and another said, “OMG she looks so different.”
Harriett has openly discussed her celebrity connections, which include rapper Arrdee. Before entering the Love Island villa, she stated, “Being a bit of an IT girl in Brighton, I’ve done personal shopping for the rapper Arrdee and one of my best friends is Saffron Barker the YouTuber.”

After asking Nicole for a chat in the episode on Wednesday, June 5, Harriett broke down in tears, questioning her connection with Ciaran. A teaser for the episode on Friday, June 7, reveals Ciaran admitting he prefers Nicole over Harriett, leaving the dancer upset. Nonetheless, fellow Islander Sean appears to take an interest in Harriett, hinting at a potential new romance.
