Simone Biles was left in shock and disbelief when a nightclub in Paris attempted to charge her an astonishing $26,000 for a single bottle of champagne after the 2024 Olympics.
“We had closing ceremonies at the Olympics. I went, and after that, we went out,” Biles, 27, recounted in a TikTok video shared on Monday. “You guys, this club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of Champagne.”

The Olympic champion made it clear that she did not go through with the purchase of the exorbitantly priced drink. “Like, are you insane?” she questioned. “Obviously, I didn’t buy it. But why would you even try to play me like that? Like, that’s wild.”
Her followers were quick to share their agreement, flooding the comments with their reactions to the outrageous price.
“$26K is crazy omg,” one person commented, accompanied by a crying-face emoji. ” $26K??? That’s insane,” another fan concurred, while a third added, “$26K just made me mad bc what?!”
“Was it L’Arc?? 😭,” someone speculated, referring to a high-end nightclub in Paris known for its champagne selection.
Although Biles did not disclose the name of the venue where the incident occurred, she had shared photos of herself partying with her sister at L’Arc following the Olympics’ conclusion. In one of the photos, Biles captioned, “The reason I’m unwell this morning,” showing a bottle parade featuring champagne, sparklers, and a sign reading “Gym Legend Simone Biles @L’Arc Paris,” along with another sign calling her “God 4 Life.”
While Biles was taken aback by the idea of spending such an outrageous amount on champagne, her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, spared no expense in celebrating their daughter’s historic achievements.
Biles shared photos from a visit to the Hermès store in Paris, later revealing that her parents had bought her a purse from the prestigious French fashion brand to mark her victories at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“my parents bought me my hermes bag 🥰,” she confirmed on Threads last week. “don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents.”
This year, Biles took home three gold medals in the women’s artistic individual all-around, women’s artistic team all-around, and women’s vault events, along with a bronze medal for her performance in the women’s floor routine.
These accomplishments solidified her status as the most decorated gymnast in history, with a total of 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals.
