An anonymous mum of twins has taken to the internet over her fears of being mocked for her naming her children after TV characters.
A post on Mumsnet claims that the new mum to twins had felt ‘rushed’ to pick names for her babies and while on strong painkillers, following labour, picked the names Charlie and Lola – characters from the children’s show ‘Charlie and Lola’ on CBeebies.
She desperately wrote on Mumsnet, looking for some advice:
“I needed some advice, I have twins which I named Charlie (boy) and Lola. Don’t get me wrong I love both names but I feel like I made the wrong decision and I always get awkward reactions when people ask,”
“If I do change a name it will be from Lola to Lila, so only one letter different and not too confusing for anyone including the baby,”
The anonymous mum continued, that her partner thought she was being “ridiculous” and they didn’t need to change their names:
“I’m the one who spends more time with other parents and children and I always dread people’s reactions when they ask their names,”
What do you think?
