Love Island’s Amy Hart Explains what Women do in Villa when they Get their Period

Amy Hart, a former Love Island contestant from 2019, has shared about her experiences on the show and addressed a fan’s question about what exactly happens to women when they get their periods in the villa.

She shared that she was asked the question a lot and clarified that the women were not segregated into another room or only allowed to wear black bikinis.

They simply got on with it like they would if they were on holiday.

Hart then revealed what she did while she was in the villa. “I personally ran my pill packs together because I didn’t want to have a period while I was in there,” she said, adding that the doctor warned her it wouldn’t work. “But yeah, you just get on with it,” she said nonchalantly.

She also clarified that her experience was unique to her and that allowances were made for individual differences.

“I understand everyone is different, and they’d make allowances, I’m sure. I was just talking about my experience, and it meant we weren’t banished,” she captioned her video.

Aside from questions about health, the former air hostess also addressed the show’s rules on alcohol.

While many of the Love Islanders enjoyed drinking under the Spanish sun, Hart said that the strict alcohol rules had to be respected, or everyone would be in trouble.

“It’s one drink on a normal night, and then two drinks if it’s a long night. A lot of us didn’t end up drinking because what’s the point in having one glass?” she explained. “Some nights we were just like ‘we want to get drunk’ if it’s been a stressful day or whatever. But when there’s massive rows, I always thought ‘imagine that with a skinful of alcohol,’ so I actually didn’t mind, and also, no hangovers, which was good.”

However, Hart confirmed that the teetotalers could not give their drinks away, disappointing those who loved to drink.

She explained that they were told on the first day that if they were caught giving their drink to anyone, everyone would be banned from drinking for five days, which would let everyone else down. “Don’t do it,” she cautioned.

Overall, Hart’s revelations provided fans with an inside look into what happens in the villa when the cameras are not rolling.
