Fans of Love Island were quick to point out Casey O’Gorman’s strange behaviour towards Claudia Fogarty, hours before he ended their relationship after receiving a pie in the face.
During Monday night’s episode of the ITV2 dating show, tensions between the two were already high, following the arrival of new contestants Rosie Seabrook and Keanan Brand.
Viewers have watched as Claudia struggled emotionally after she and Casey were separated by the arrival of the two new bombshells. In last week’s episodes, Rosie coupled up with Casey, while Keanan opted to be with Claudia, splitting up the former couple. Claudia was left in tears and expressed that she felt “second best” to Rosie.
The Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, which returned to the show, revealed the islanders’ true feelings about one another. Casey chose to kiss Rosie, pie Samie Elishi and marry Claudia. He said that Claudia deserved better than him and that she was an amazing person. Meanwhile, Claudia chose to kiss Keanan and marry Tom Clare. She then pied Casey, saying, “You can’t have your cake and eat it, and I will be no-one’s option.”
When Casey and Claudia sat down to discuss their relationship, Claudia expressed her disappointment and asked for an apology. She stated, “I could tell from the day when you first met her, I knew where your head was going to go, and you knew where your head was going to go, but I just feel like you should own up to it, and maybe just an apology or something from you would have been nice.” Casey admitted that he felt sorry for how Claudia felt but stated that he had a stronger connection with Rosie.
However, before they called it quits, Love Island fans noticed Casey’s unusual behaviour towards Claudia, indicating that he was no longer interested in her. During the episode, Casey made Claudia a coffee, but he got Tom to take the drink up to the terrace, and he made it in a bowl.
