Love Island contestants Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have ended their relationship after nearly a year since emerging victorious on the popular ITV2 dating show.
Davide took to Instagram to announce the split, expressing his well wishes for his former girlfriend. In his own words, the Italian star penned, “Ekin-Su and I have parted ways. I am grateful for the cherished memories and the opportunities we shared. I sincerely hope that she finds nothing but happiness. During this challenging time, I kindly request everyone to respect our decision.”

As of now, Ekin has not commented on the breakup. However, the reality TV star seems to be in good spirits as she shared moments with her family on her Instagram stories earlier today.
Last summer, Ekin-Su, aged 28, and Italian entrepreneur Davide, aged 27, emerged as champions of the reality TV show. Since then, they embarked on numerous adventures together, documenting their relationship for their millions of followers on social media.
Just a few days ago, the former couple attended a movie premiere in London, seemingly still deeply in love. However, their recent trip to Amsterdam revealed underlying issues in their relationship that had been brewing for some time.
Insiders have disclosed that Ekin and Davide had been experiencing difficulties for a while and had made concerted efforts to salvage their relationship. Sadly, despite their best intentions, they ultimately decided to end their journey together, according to a source close to the pair who spoke to The Sun.
This breakup follows Ekin’s recent revelation that she is contemplating a return to her homeland, Turkey, to pursue her acting career. Reflecting on her aspirations, she stated, “At some point, I would love to return to Turkey and reconnect with the agencies I worked with during my soap opera days. I am fluent in both English and Turkish, so why not pursue a career in both countries? The entertainment industry can be challenging, and people often discourage you, but you must persevere. Even in the face of rejection, you must keep pushing forward. I certainly wouldn’t rule out Turkey as an option.”
