Usher has revealed insights into his teenage years spent at rapper Diddy’s New York mansion, recalling encounters with what he described as ‘pretty wild’ situations during a recent interview.
The singer, now 45, shared his experiences while residing with the music mogul back in the spring of 1994, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in 2016. In response to Stern’s query about the atmosphere at Diddy’s residence, Usher recounted, ‘Not really… I got a chance to see some things … I don’t know if I could indulge and even understand what I was looking at.’
Reflecting on his time there, Usher admitted, ‘It was pretty wild. It was crazy. There were very curious things taking place and I didn’t necessarily understand it.’ He also expressed a firm stance against sending his own children to similar environments, responding with an emphatic ‘Hell no!’ when asked about it.
Earlier, in a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone, Usher had discussed how Diddy exposed him to a different side of life, particularly in regard to sexuality. He recounted encounters with sexual activities within the industry, noting the presence of numerous women and unpredictable scenarios.
The revelations come amid ongoing sex trafficking claims and sexual assault lawsuits surrounding Diddy. Federal Homeland Security Investigations agents conducted raids on his properties in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, and Miami as part of an ongoing investigation.
Although Diddy was spotted at a Miami airport following the raids, he was not detained or arrested. Reports indicate that his private jet was tracked flying to Antigua, leading to speculation about his whereabouts.
Law enforcement agents, including those from the Department of Homeland Security, were seen searching Diddy’s luxury properties, collecting boxes and bags of evidence. While the investigation continues, Diddy remains at the center of mounting legal challenges.
