Josie Gibson Says She’s ‘in Love’ as She’s Seen Holding Hands with Stephen Mulhern

TV presenters Stephen Mulhern and Josie Gibson sparked rumours of a budding romance after they were spotted getting cozy outside a London television studio. The duo, who were reportedly filming the final episode of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, were photographed holding hands as they walked together on Saturday, April 13.

Both Stephen, 37, and Josie, 39, appeared on the emotional last episode of the popular primetime show, joining a star-studded lineup including Simon Cowell, Davina McCall, Rylan Clarke, Dermot O’Leary, and Girls Aloud for a lively afterparty following the final episode.

When asked about their relationship, Josie didn’t shy away from sharing her feelings, admitting to MailOnline, “I’m in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go.” However, she added a touch of humour, saying, “But story of my life, I don’t think he loves me.”

Despite their close friendship, Stephen and Josie have always maintained a platonic relationship in the public eye. Last year, Josie opened up about her love life, revealing she was seeing someone new and had already expressed her feelings. She candidly shared, “There is someone in my life at the moment but it’s early stages…I’ve said I love you.”

Josie, known for wearing her heart on her sleeve, emphasised her straightforward approach to relationships, stating, “It’s best to just get it out of the way, I don’t like playing games.”

Speculation about Josie’s romantic life also arose when she posted a picture holding hands with ITV cameraman Sam Morter in Paris last year. However, Josie clarified that they were just friends and affirmed her single status.

On the other hand, magician and Dancing on Ice host Stephen is believed to be single. Despite his past relationship with EastEnders actress Emma Barton, Stephen has not publicly announced any romantic involvement in over a decade.

Reflecting on his dating life in an interview with Celebs Now, Stephen admitted, “Last time I went on a date was about four years ago. That makes me sound really sad! I need a life. I need to stop working so much.”

Stephen has garnered immense popularity as a presenter, hosting shows like In For a Penny and recently stepping in to co-host Dancing on Ice alongside Holly Willoughby.
