Prince Andrew is to Take Ownership Of Queen’s Corgis

Queen Elizabeth II’s love of corgis was well known all around the world.

In her 96 years, she owned more than 30 corgis.

Her Majesty sadly passed on 8 September 2022 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Her death has shaken not just the country but also the world.

Many were quick to show concern for her beloved dogs and question what exactly will become of them now that their owner is no longer with us.

A spokesperson for Prince Andrew announced that he and his wife Sarah, the Duchess of York, will take ownership for both of the dogs that were left behind.

At the start of 2021, Prince Andrew gifted his mother two new puppies as a way to keep her spirits up during lockdown when her beloved husband Phillip was unwell and in the hospital – one corgi and one dorgi, a corgi and dachshund mixed breed.

Queen Elizabeth’s health had sadly been deteriorating over the past few months, and before her passing, doctors expressed concern for her condition.

Buckingham Palace had announced:

‘Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

‘The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.’

On Thursday last week, Buckingham Palace then later announced that the Queen had sadly passed away.

At the moment she passed away, the then Prince Charles became ascended to the throne and became King Charles III.
