Love Island’s Maura Higgins ‘splits’ from James Bond star after whirlwind 10-month romance

Reports suggest that Love Island star Maura Higgins has ended her relationship with Hollywood actor Bobby Holland Hanton, marking the conclusion of their 10-month romance.

Speculations about their relationship began in May last year, but it appears Maura decided to call it quits after realising the relationship had no long-term prospects.

A source shared insights with The Sun, stating, “It was really fun for a while. But they’re different people. It’s over between them.” Despite the breakup, the source indicated that Maura has no regrets about the time they spent together.

Recent observations on Instagram indicate that both Maura and Bobby have unfollowed each other, despite Maura confirming their relationship’s happiness in December, following fan speculation.

Their romance became public after they were spotted on a date in London in May 2023. Maura addressed the rumours during an appearance on the Irish talk show, The Late Late Show, confirming her relationship with Bobby, who has an extensive career as a stunt double, notably for Chris Hemsworth.

Bobby’s impressive resume includes work in blockbuster action films such as the Avengers series, Batman, James Bond, and Mission Impossible, and he has also served as David Beckham’s football double.

Their relationship gained attention again in August 2023 when they shared photos from a romantic dinner in Fiji on their respective Instagram accounts. Further fuelling speculation, they posted about their trip to Finland for a getaway in January.

During their snowy excursion, Maura shared images of herself in the snow, while Bobby posted a picture of them enjoying wine by a fire, captioned “Happy new year Luv.”

Despite their public displays of affection on social media, it seems their relationship has come to an end, marking a new chapter for both Maura and Bobby.
