Stacey Solomon Shares Baby Update as Joe Swash Says ‘this will be it’

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash find themselves contemplating the prospect of expanding their family further, but admit they may be at their limit.

The couple, who share three children together – Rex, four, Rose, two, and Belle, one – alongside Stacey’s two sons from previous relationships and Joe’s teenage son from a prior relationship, are grappling with the idea of welcoming a sixth child.

Despite expressing occasional bouts of feeling “broody” on social media, the 34-year-old Loose Women star and her 42-year-old husband, a former EastEnders actor, have acknowledged the challenges of managing a larger family. Stacey previously remarked “We don’t want any more, we cannot cope with it.” However, she reiterated their gratitude for their children, stating, “Yeah, we wanted all these kids and we’re so grateful to have them.”

While Stacey playfully hinted at the possibility of romance in the future, she clarified on Instagram that she is not currently expecting another child and is taking precautions to prevent it.

Joe, in a conversation with The Netmums Podcast, expressed contentment with their family size, stating, “This is it, I’m pretty sure that this is it. We can’t go there again.” Despite their shared affection for children, Joe acknowledged the practical considerations, recognising the rapid passage of time through the baby and toddler stages.

However, Stacey has occasionally felt “broody” again, as evidenced by a recent holiday where she shared heartwarming moments of their children at home.

Interestingly, fostering is a consideration for the couple in the future. Joe revealed on the podcast, “Fostering is something that me and Stacey have talked about and would love to do.” They see it as an opportunity to give back and have discussed pursuing it once their children are more independent.

While their family dynamic continues to evolve, Stacey and Joe remain open to various possibilities, navigating the complexities of parenthood and considering how best to support their children while enriching the lives of others.
