Day two of Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding gets underway as security swarms luxury villa ahead of lavish ceremony

pOLICE have swarmed around an 18th century Sicilian villa as they prepare to enforce another huge ring of steel ahead of Dua Lipa’s wedding tonight.

Dozens of officers, private security and barriers have shut off the entrance and road leading up to the 37 acre estate before the pop star, 30, exchanges vows with husband Callum Turner, 36.

The pop superstar, 30, and the actor, 36 already wed in London last weekend and are now hosting a three-day wedding extravaganza in Italy.

Vans and blacked out cars have been seen going in and out of the Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria in Sicily, Italy, as final preparations continue for the hugely anticipated showbiz wedding finale.

Locals have also been turned away from the former Mafia stronghold, while other elderly locals were turfed off from a nearby public courtyard where they were sat down sheltering in shade from the sun.

Two police officers even assisted an elderly man with a walking frame down some steps as they booted him out.

The Be The One singer will exchange loving vows in an extravagant wedding ceremony set to wow hundreds of family and A-lister friends, including Charli XCX, Mark Ronson and Tame Impala.

Their wedding today will have no legal standing, because they officially married in Marylebone Town Hall last week surrounded by just eight family and friends.

But today’s ceremony is widely considered to be the main event of their lavish celebrations.

It will be completely hidden within the magnificent 18th century villa, which is widely considered one of the most historically and culturally significant villas in Sicily.

A grand oval courtyard with high walls where the outdoor ceremony will take place sits at the end of a long private road adorned with high trees. It means the venue is completely private and cannot be seen from neighbouring buildings.

The ceremony is expected to be followed by posh catering provided by local chef Tony Lo Coco from restaurant I Pupi, and speeches before the celebrities dance the night away with a party set to go well into the early hours.

Her dress – a well-kept secret – is rumoured to have been designed by Donatella Versace, who attended a pre-wedding drinks reception last night as Dua and Callum kicked off their celebrations.

On Friday night, the couple kicked off their celebrations at a carefully guarded bash in Sicily’s Palazzo Croce dei Vespri.

And today, the wedding ceremony will take place at the 18th-century Baroque estate Villa Valguarnera, which is featured in popular series The White Lotus.

With Dua and Callum, alongside their guests, making their way to the ceremony destination today, local police were seen making a ring of steel around the area.

Vans and several teams of security have set up shop to ensure complete privacy for the ceremony, with the villa completely shut off from the public.

Dua and Callum are said to be paying €10,000 towards security around the city, on top of the €1.5 million cost of the three-day celebrations.

During night one of the celebrations on Friday, Dua amped up her bridal wardrobe with a halter-neck, backless white dress edged with feathers, reportedly by Bottega Veneta.

The couple appeared in high spirits as they danced with guests to kick off the extravaganza.

A ragtime jazz band set the tone as the couple embraced guests, including Callum’s mum, Rosemary Turner, while candles in wine bottles and bowls of almonds lined the tables in the candlelit courtyard.

Some 200 guests have already been celebrating with the couple, with A-listers Joe Alwyn, Charli XCX, her husband George Daniel (from The 1975), and Mark Ronson spotted yesterday.

Guests wept in a hugely emotional moment as Sir Elton John serenaded Dua by playing piano and singing Your Song.
