Christina Aguilera has reportedly unfollowed her fellow pop star Britney Spears after she allegedly uploaded a ‘fat-shaming’ post on Instagram.
On Monday, in a now deleted post, Spears made a dig at the singer and her backup dancers.
The mother of three posed nude and promised never to perform again alongside the caption:
“See this picture right here… Kiss my God damn motherf***ing a** you f**king b**tard.”
The star then deleted the post and uploaded another photo with the message:
“I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people.”
Adding in the caption underneath:
“I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children… my dancers… I mean if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers I would have looked extremely small [dancers emojis]… I mean why not talk about it??
“Don’t you think my confidence would have been a bit better if I could choose where I lived, ate, whom I called on the phone, dated and who was on stage with me!!!
“It’s hard sometimes now I see how much of my womanhood was stripped away at that time and every person sat back and didn’t say a thing!!!”
“Anyways … I will be here talking bout things people NEVER talked about.”

Many took to social media to express their sadness, anger and disappointment in the icon, with some saying:
“We all together celebrated Britney Spears’ freedom.
“We understand she’s not healthy at the moment but we can’t pretend there’s no gravity in the words she writes. Body-shaming Christina Aguilera and her dancers is so nasty. She needs to apologise.”
Another said:
“What Britney Spears went through is not okay, but that does not justify her bullying and fat-shaming people on her Instagram. Utterly disappointed.”
A third added:
“Britney just needs to stop posting full stop,”
This may be a continuation from a feud between Spears and Aguilera that occurred November 2021. The ‘Toxic’ singer hit out at Aguilera online after she claimed she “refused” to acknowledge her conservatorship when she made a face at the Latin Grammy Awards when a journalist asked to give her views on the matter.
