MAFS Australia reveals Lauren’s reaction to Ellie and Jono relationship

Married at First Sight Australia unveiled a dramatic moment as Lauren Dunn discovered that her ex-husband Jonathan McCullough and Ellie Dix were in a relationship.

During tonight’s (April 29) episode, the cast of season 11 reunited for a final dinner party, four weeks post the experiment’s conclusion. Among the returning couples were Jono and Ellie, who had since formed a relationship despite being initially paired with different partners.

The revelation of their relationship caught Lauren completely off guard, leaving her stunned and unaware of the development. Lauren’s shock mirrored that of experts John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla, and Mel Schilling, who were left speechless by the news.

Expressing their dismay, John remarked, “Jono and Ellie are not being tactful, they’re rubbing other people’s faces in it,” while Alessandra noted her surprise at Ellie’s apparent lack of empathy towards Lauren.

When questioned by producers about whether he should have informed Lauren about his relationship with Ellie, Jono defended his actions, stating that Lauren had “no right to be upset” over his new relationship.

The group wasted no time addressing the situation head-on, with Lucinda urging Ellie and Jono to be forthcoming about their relationship while acknowledging both their connection and Lauren’s feelings. Jono explained that he and Ellie reconnected a week after the final vows, following the end of his relationship with Lauren.

However, Lauren disputed Jono’s claim, asserting that their current relationship was developed entirely during the experiment while he was still with her.

The tension escalated further when Jono made shocking revelations, alleging that Tim expressed feeling “rushed” during the final vows and hinted at a potential different decision given more time. Tim denied the accusation but admitted to considering alternative choices, leaving Sara visibly upset.

Addressing Tim, Sara urged him to be honest about his feelings and to leave the relationship if he genuinely didn’t feel a connection.
