MAFS star Lauren Dunn hits back as her ex Jono McCullough accuses her of having a secret ‘partner’ during their on-screen marriage

Married At First Sight’s Lauren Dunn has fired back following accusations from her ex, Jono McCullough, alleging she had a partner during filming.

The 32-year-old PR maven and the 39-year-old health business owner were matched up on the dating experiment, but their relationship hit a rough patch before Final Vows.

Lauren was enraged to discover that Jono had been privately messaging fellow bride Ellie Dix, who was originally paired with Ben Walters before exiting the experiment. Jono has since embarked on a relationship with Ellie, and he took to their shared TikTok account to make sensational claims about his ‘marriage’ to Lauren on-screen.

He shockingly alleged that Lauren confessed to having a secret ‘partner’ outside the experiment, a claim vehemently denied by Lauren.

“She had someone she was interested in, she was good enough to tell me on the first day of the honeymoon,” Jono claimed. “She said, ‘hey I have someone outside, I’m not interested in a relationship, let’s just look after each other and have fun’.”

Referring to his texting controversy with nurse Ellie, 32, Jono further asserted, “She said I was cheating on her and clearly that wasn’t happening, she had someone else outside of the experiment.”

Jono also alleged that Lauren broke down in tears at the final dinner party due to their co-star confronting her over the claims, not because of him and Ellie.

“At the final dinner party, she did cry because the table tore shreds through her,” he said. “They said, ‘how dare you call Jono a cheater, when you had a boyfriend the whole time,’ and she did get upset, but guys, it wasn’t because of Ellie and I.”

Responding to Jono’s remarks, Lauren’s representative told Yahoo, “She has well and truly moved on with her life and hopes Jono can do the same.”

This isn’t the first time allegations have surfaced regarding Lauren’s dating life during filming. An insider previously claimed Lauren was ‘head over heels’ for a mysterious man she met in Bali, but Lauren has vehemently denied these claims.

“It’s just a bit ridiculous. I didn’t have a Bali boyfriend,” she clarified. “I told Jono at the very beginning of the experiment. We were talking about our past hookups and who we’d been with. I mentioned I had a holiday fling before the show.”

Setting the record straight, Lauren emphasised, “I feel like me being honest about that has come back to blow up in my face later down the line. It’s almost being used against me.”
