Love Island enthusiasts are turning into amateur detectives after noticing a curious turn of events: Kady McDermott has been given the cold shoulder by three of her pals.
Sharp-eyed fans observed that Kady, 28, has been subjected to the sting of a triple unfollow shortly after socialising with them at an event. It appears that Kady has been ousted from the virtual friendship circle by Leah Taylor, as well as the newly-reunited couple, Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde.
The Love Island aficionados are now on a quest to decipher the reason behind this sudden snub.
On Reddit, one user remarked, “Just noticed on Twitter Ty and Ella unfollowed Kady.” Another chimed in, “Feel like something must have happened because Ella was at that Colour Wow event and posted a snap with Kady. Just seems a bit odd.” A third speculated, “Both of them? She must have spoken out of turn in person.”
Speculations abound, with one individual pondering, “I wonder why? Kady was rooting for them post show! She also wished Ella a happy birthday.”
Kady made a splashy return to Love Island last year, entering the villa for the 10th series of the ITV2 reality show. Rising to fame in the 2016 season, Kady returned as a bombshell to shake things up, forming a close bond with Leah during her stint in the villa.
Post-show, Leah came to Kady’s defence amid controversies surrounding Kady’s comments about her villa acquaintances on various podcasts.
Kady also maintained friendships with Ella and Tyrique, who departed the villa as a couple last summer. In February, the couple parted ways and erased each other from their Instagram accounts. Kady is believed to have supported Ella through the breakup. Although Ella has since reconciled with Tyrique, Kady’s interactions with her on social media have dwindled.
Last week, Kady took to Instagram to wish Ella a happy 24th birthday, but her engagement on Ella’s posts has since ceased. Additionally, Kady is no longer following Leah on Instagram, and Leah reciprocates this gesture.
