King Charles III Reportedly Did Not Want Meghan at Balmoral Castle on Thursday

Queen Elizabeth II sadly passed away last thursday at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

She was our longest reigning monarch, being on the throne for 70 years. She was 96 when she passed.

Her doctors were concerned about her health, last week, and in turn Buckingham Palace notified the royal family and the public.

They released the following statement on Thursday:

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

Many of the royals then made their way up to Scotland to be together as a family to support each other and to be with their beloved mother and grandmother at the end.

It was then announced on Thursday evening that Queen Elizabeth II had died. The Palace released the following statement:

‘The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.’

Amongst the royals who traveled to Balmoral Castle on Thursday was Prince Harry, however, despite initial reports that he and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex would be traveling together, the Prince went alone.

Over the past few years, there has been tension between the Sussexxes and the Prince and Princess of Wales. A source from Buckingham Palace spoke to Page Six and said:

“Tensions were so high and there was no way Meghan could have gone to Balmoral,”

“The fact the Sussex camp did say both Harry and Meghan were going — and then quickly retracted that statement — will tell you everything you need to know about the drama behind the scenes.”

Another source spoke to The Sun and said:

“Charles told Harry that it wasn’t right or appropriate for Meghan to be in Balmoral at such a deeply sad time,”

The same source claimed that King Charles III had “made it very, very clear Meghan would not be welcome.”
