Why Harry Went to Balmoral without Meghan

There was an initial statement that Harry and Meghan were traveling together to Balmoral to be with the family at the sad time of Queen Elizabeth’s passing.

However, Harry ended up traveling alone, according to a close source.

Omid Scobie, a Royal reported, shared on Twitter that the Duchess of Sussex would be remaining in London.

The mother of two did not attend the event she was scheduled to last night, the WellChild Awards.

The Duchess of Cambridge also did not travel to Balmoral as she was also caring for her and William’s children – 8 September was their first day at their new school, Lambrook.

The exact reason for Meghan’s absence has not been revealed and given the nature of the royal family, will probably be kept private.

Both Harry and Meghan were very close to the Queen, naming their first daughter Lilibet after her.

Prince Harry also admitted during an interview with The Today Show that he had a “really special relationship” with his grandmother and that:

“We talk about things she can’t talk about with anyone else.”

Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the other Royals has been in the spotlight the last few years, with the couple deciding to “step back as ‘senior’ members” of the royal family in January 2020.

They now share their time between the UK and North America, as well as being financially independent from the family.
