Jack Dunkley, the controversial groom from Married At First Sight, has opened up about his biggest regret from Season 11 of the series.
Speaking on the Sit With Us podcast hosted by Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding, Jack, accompanied by his MAFS wife and now girlfriend Tori Adams, delved into the ‘muzzlegate’ scandal that stirred up the experiment. The scandal revolved around Jack’s comment to co-star Jonathan McCullough, advising him to “muzzle his woman,” referring to Jack’s MAFS bride Lauren Dunn.
Reflecting on his behaviour, Jack expressed remorse, calling it one of his biggest regrets from the show. He acknowledged the repercussions of his words, particularly within the intense environment of the experiment.
The podcast hosts probed Jack further, emphasising the gravity of his comment and how it might have incited a stronger reaction from Lauren or anyone else in her position.
Jack attributed his behaviour to the pressure-cooker scenario of the experiment, highlighting that in a real-life situation, he would have reacted differently. He admitted that he would have left the situation immediately with Tori by his side, emphasising that such behaviour wouldn’t be acceptable in real life.
Despite their tumultuous journey on the show, Tori and Jack’s relationship has endured beyond the experiment. They have strengthened their bond and are now living together on the Gold Coast.
