Queen’s Guard Dramatically Collapses While Guarding her Coffin

Watch the scary moment the Queen’s guard collapses in the middle of guarding her coffin.

Elizabeth II sadly passed away on 8 September 2022 at her estate in Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire . Since her passing, her coffin has travelled to Edinburgh then to London.

In the process, thousands of members of the public have lined the streets to catch a glimpse of her Majesty one last time, to pay their respects and to be a part of a huge moment in history.

Since her passing, there have been many ceremonies and events that the royal family have had to attend as a part of protocol and tradition.

One of which is the lying-in-state – where the Queen’s coffin is held in Westminster Hall for the family to pay their respects as well as members of the public – who have travelled far and wide and camped out days in advance in order to not miss their chance.

The coffin is surrounded by the Queen’s guards who stand solitary in uniform and guard the body of the late monarch.

However, catastrophe struck when one of the guards dramatically fainted and collapsed on the floor.

Warning: video may be disturbing to some.

In the clip, the guard goes face first and many people rush to his aid.

Prior to the lying-in-state, the coffin traveled in a procession followed by her children and her grandchildren.

Behind her on her last journey, walked the new King Charles III who has now taken over the throne, as well as her three other children – Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

Behind them walked the late monarch’s grandchildren – Prince William, now second in line to the throne following his father, King Charles III – and Prince Harry.
